| Good gardens start with good buildings. Sustainability begins with taking care of the land: minimum site disturbance, limiting building footprints, maintaining or re-establishing ground cover and native vegetation, water conservation, use of existing trees for shading, are the basics. But beauty is just as important! We don't just look at what our buildings give to the inside, but how their massing and garden structures can be used to create outdoor space. Where beauty of the land exists we will try to protect or enhance it, where it is degraded we will try to create it. We love plants and let them teach us to be less compulsive in our work and lives. |
